A project inspired by the senses and emotions, blending creativity and science into a unified visual system.
El Sentido del Cacao is a documentary by Jordi Roca in collaboration with BBVA aiming to create seven desserts for seven individuals with different conditions that prevent them from perceiving the taste of cocoa—all through a scientific study designed to help them experience it once again.
We developed a visual identity rooted in this concept, inspired by the five senses and the seven scientific trials conducted. The graphic system draws from the world of fine arts and handmade craftsmanship, reinforced by a color palette deeply connected to cocoa.
We designed a landing page that narrated the entire development of the documentary project—from the initial problem and scientific research to the experiments and the conceptualization of a series of desserts that ultimately became chocolates.
We designed a custom packaging for the project, containing seven chocolates—one for each individual who participated in the study, each chocolate crafted specifically for their unique case.
The packaging was designed as a sliding structure, using mass-dyed papers with embossed textures that connect to the visual identity while helping to distinguish each chocolate.
